DOHA 20 February 2025 — The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Doha and the Department of Trade and Industry led a business matching mission in Qatar on 09 February 2025.
The mission brought together Qatari and Filipino companies to explore trade partnerships.
Twelve (12) Philippine exporters from various sectors, including fresh and frozen food, processed goods, personal care, and pharmaceuticals, participated in the mission.
The business matching mission also saw Philippine Ambassador to the State of Qatar, His Excellency Mardomel Celo D. Melicor, and Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) Board Member, Mr. Abdulla bin Mohamed Al-Emadi, reaffirm their commitment to strengthening trade ties between the Philippines and Qatar.

DOHA 19 February 2025 — Philippine Ambassador to the State of Qatar, His Excellency Mardomel Celo D. Melicor, attended the induction ceremony and technical conference of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) – Qatar Chapter on 31 January 2025.
With the theme, “A Resilient Future: Through Transformative and Innovative Engineering Practices,” Ambassador Melicor praised the Filipino civil engineers for encouraging the continuous professional development of their peers currently working in Qatar.
In his remarks, Ambassador Melicor underscored the value of enhancing one’s employability, which does not only transform the individuals, but also of the community and the Filipino nation as a whole.

DOHA 17 February 2025 — Philippine Ambassador to the State of Qatar, His Excellency Mardomel Celo D. Melicor, called on the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of the State of Qatar, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, on 16 February 2025.
The two officials acknowledged the robust relations between the two friendly nations, and exchanged views on enhancing cooperation in various fields of mutual interest.

DOHA 16 February 2025 — The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Doha successfully participated in the 12th Qatar International Agricultural Exhibition, or AgriteQ, on 04-08 February 2025 at the Katara Cultural Village.
Philippine Ambassador to the State of Qatar, His Excellency Mardomel Celo D. Melicor, along with Consul General and First Secretary Cassandra B. Sawadjaan, led the opening of the Philippine booth.
The booth featured premium agricultural products, innovative farming solutions, and top travel destinations, providing visitors a glimpse of the rich trade and tourism opportunities in the Philippines.
Through its participation in AgriteQ, the Embassy aims to strengthen bilateral trade, promote investment opportunities, and enhance economic cooperation between the Philippines and Qatar.
