About the Ambassador

His Excellency Ambassador Mardomel Celo D. Melicor arrived in Doha on 15 January 2025.

He is a career diplomat with decades-long experience in the foreign service. His previous postings were at the Philippine diplomatic and consular missions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Germany, Libya, and Poland.

Prior to being designated as the Philippine envoy to the State of Qatar, Ambassador Melicor was the Assistant Secretary for Middle East and African Affairs at the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila.

Ambassador Melicor is married and has one (1) child.
