DOHA 08 June 2025 — Philippine Ambassador to the State of Qatar, His Excellency Mardomel Celo D. Melicor, visited Philippine School Doha (PSD) anew on 07 June 2025 to review the conduct of the Special Professional Licensure Examinations (SPLE) in Doha.

During his visit, Ambassador Melicor conferred with the team from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), headed by Director Rotelo Cabugsa, to personally check the SPLE operations, with the view to ensuring the success of this year's iteration.

He also met with examinees prior to their examinations to wish them the best of luck.

Pursuant to Executive Order No. 835, series of 2009, the SPLE is held annually to give unlicensed OFWs the opportunity to take the licensure board examinations while residing and/or working in the Gulf region without the need for returning to the Philippines.

This year’s SPLE in Doha covers 21 professional licensure board examinations across various disciplines. Around 450 Filipinos residing and/or working in Qatar are expected to take the examinations.

The SPLE concludes today, 08 June 2025.
