In celebration of Buwan ng Wika (National Language Month), the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), in cooperation with Story House Philippines, will be holding an online storytelling event entitled “Samot-Saring Hiraya: Imagination through Filipino Stories” on 22 August 2023, Tuesday, at 9:00 a.m. (Qatar time) to be livestreamed on the DFA’s official YouTube channel here: tinyurl.com/y3yvaw6w.
Let us promote understanding and appreciation of oral storytelling, cultures, and the arts through Filipino folktales. Let’s inspire the next generation to explore the rich heritage of the Philippines through captivating narratives.

DOHA 2 September 2023 — The Philippine Embassy in Doha joins in the national celebration of the Development Policy Research Month.
Pursuant to Proclamation No. 247 dated 2 September 2002, the month of September of every year is declared as Development Policy Research Month. This is for the purpose of promoting and drawing nationwide awareness of the importance of policy research in the formulation of national development plans, programs, and policies.
The theme for this year’s commemoration is “Going Green and Digital for a More Sustainable, Inclusive, and Prosperous Future for All,” or in Filipino, “Maging Makakalikasan at Digital para sa Higit na Matatag, Inklusibo, at Masaganang Kinabukasan para sa Lahat.”
