Deputized election officials of the Embassy, witnessed by watchers of different parties and media representatives, convenes the Special Board of Canvasser (SBOC) to start the counting and canvassing of votes in accordance with COMELEC guidelines and procedures. DOHA 21 May 2019 — The month-long electoral exercise concluded with a strong and inspiring turnout of voters who took the time to visit the Philippine Embassy in Doha and cast their votes to perform their important civic duty as proud overseas voters.
The overseas voting process formally ended with the deputized election officials of the Embassy, ensuring that all votes get counted, canvassed and transmitted successfully to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC)–National Canvassing Center at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Manila.
The Embassy has a total of 46 clustered precincts representing the 45,548 registered voters for the 2019 midterm elections. The final voter turnout reached 19.72 percent, with 8,982 voters personally casting their ballots.
The final and tabulated results of the overseas voting for the 2019 Senatorial and Party List Elections in Doha is posted at the Embassy information board and properly disseminated via its official Facebook and webpage. END

Mr. Aranha and Mr. Parthaje also presented an invitation to Ambassador Timbayan for the opening of the first BENCH store on 02 May 2019 in City Center Mall in Doha.

The Embassy remains fully committed in its mandate to ensure that all registered overseas voters in Qatar get to vote with easy and convenient access to the polling place, that the sanctity and integrity of their ballots are protected and that their votes get counted.
