DOHA 27 November 2024 — Her Excellency Philippine Ambassador to the State of Qatar Lillibeth V. Pono joined female ambassadors and heads of mission from Austria, Canada, Democratic Republic of Congo, Lebanon, Switzerland, USA, and the ICRC delegation to a lunch with Shura Council Deputy Speaker Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti on 25 November 2024.
Hosted by Her Excellency Swiss Ambassador to Qatar Florence Tinguely Mattli, the lunch served as an opportunity to discuss developments in the region, as well as other matters of common concern.

DOHA 26 November 2024 — Her Excellency Philippine Ambassador to the State of Qatar Lillibeth V. Pono met with Urban Planning Director Juma Subah Marzouq and State Property Administration Director Ghanim Mohammed Al Kubaisi, both from the Ministry of Municipality, on 24 November 2024.
The three officials discussed efforts to address issues concerning Filipino nationals in Qatar and exchanged views on enhancing cooperation in other areas of mutual concern.

DOHA 21 November 2024 — Her Excellency Philippine Ambassador to the State of Qatar Lillibeth V. Pono met with UP Professor Gerald Pio Franco at the Embassy Chancery on 19 November 2024 prior to the conduct of the much-anticipated University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT) in Doha.
During said meeting, Ambassador Pono conveyed the Embassy’s full support for the return of UPCAT in Qatar. She also expressed her appreciation to Philippine School Doha (PSD) and Philippine International School-Qatar (PIS-Q) for providing administrative assistance to the examinees.
Professor Franco administered the examination on 21 November 2024 at PSD. Over 130 Qatar-based Filipino and non-Filipino students alike sat for the examination for a chance to become Iskolar ng Bayan at the country’s premier university.

DOHA 21 November 2024 — Award-winning Filipino gymnast Breanna Labadan kickstarted her campaign at the International Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship “Sky Grace 2024” at the Aspire Dome indoor track on 20 November 2024.
The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Doha, along with Breanna’s family and members of the Filipino community in Qatar, watched her flex her rhythmic gymnastics credentials against participants from 25 other countries on the opening day of the three-day tournament.
With two more days left, Breanna will try to score big as she builds up momentum to qualify for a spot at the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028.
