DOHA 28 October 2024 — Philippine Ambassador to the State of Qatar, Her Excellency Lillibeth V. Pono, met with Brig. Abdula Saqr Al Mohannadi, Director of the Human Rights Department at the Ministry of Interior, on 27 October 2024.
The two officials exchanged views on enhancing cooperation in the field of human rights, as well as other areas of mutual concern.

DOHA 28 October 2024 — Her Excellency Philippine Ambassador to the State of Qatar Lillibeth V. Pono met with Qatar-based Filipino hotel professionals at the Embassy Chancery on 22 October 2024.
During the meeting, they shared their experiences working in Qatar’s dynamic hotel industry, including prospects for career advancement, as well as establishing a credible support group for Filipino professionals.

DOHA 27 October 2024 — The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Doha is pleased to convey its hearty congratulations to the Philippine International School-Qatar (PISQ) for receiving the White Flag Award from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) for the academic year 2023-2024.
The Award is a recognition of PISQ’s efforts in meeting MoEHE’s standards and requirements, as well as in having zero violations throughout the academic year.

DOHA 25 October 2024 — The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in the State of Qatar, led by Her Excellency Ambassador Lillibeth V. Pono, along with Migrant Workers Office-Qatar, provided airport assistance to 291 Filipinos transiting through Doha following their repatriation from Beirut on 25 October 2024.
Ambassador Pono said the repatriation process is being conducted in accordance with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to ensure the immediate and safe evacuation of Filipinos from Lebanon due to the escalating tensions in the country.
The Filipino repatriates are scheduled to arrive in Manila on 26 October 2024.
