DOHA 08 November 2023 — Following the safe and successful departure of 40 Filipino nationals and one Palestinian spouse from the Gaza Strip through the Rafah border crossing in Egypt, Philippine Secretary for Foreign Affairs Enrique A. Manalo wrote on X:
“We acknowledge and deeply appreciate Qatar's crucial mediation efforts in the opening of the Rafah border crossing, allowing foreign nationals, including Filipinos, to exit Gaza. and
are united in our goal of a lasting peace in the region."

DOHA 08 November 2023 — The Philippine Embassy in the State of Qatar provided assistance to several Filipino nationals in distress or otherwise suffering from serious medical condition during their layover in Doha on 06 and 07 November 2023.
The Filipinos departed from Belgium and Lebanon en route to the Philippines via Doha.

DOHA 29 October 2023 — Philippine Secretary for Foreign Affairs Enrique A. Manalo spoke with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the State of Qatar, on 29 October 2023.
The two officials discussed the latest developments in the region and provided updates on the status of Philippines-Qatar bilateral relations.

DOHA 25 October 2023 — In celebration of the Museums and Galleries Month in October, officers and personnel of the Philippine Embassy in the State of Qatar led by Her Excellency Ambassador Lillibeth V. Pono took guided tours of two renowned museums within Doha and its environs.
On 11 October 2023, Embassy personnel visited the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum (QOSM) at the Khalifa International Stadium in Doha. One of the largest sports museums in the world, QSOM houses several galleries featuring sports artifacts and mementos from iconic sports personalities, including Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao.
Ahead of the tour, Ambassador Pono met with Mr. Abdullah Yousuf Al Mulla, Director of QOSM. The two officials explored possible collaborative projects between the Philippines and Qatar in the future.
On 16 October 2023, Embassy personnel proceeded to Al Samriya estate in the municipality of Al-Shahaniya to visit the Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum. The expansive museum is home to Sheikh Faisal’s private collection of over 30,000 cultural, geological, and historical artifacts from all over the world.
