DOHA 27 July 2024 - In observance of the Philippine National Nutrition Month in July, the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines partnered with the Migrant Workers Office-Qatar and the Nutritionists and Dietitians Association of the Philippines (NDAP)-Qatar to provide a free lecture on nutrition on 26 July 2024 at the Embassy’s function hall.
The lecture was open to the public and was attended by Filipino women of various backgrounds. Some community leaders and heads of women-focused groups were also present.
The program aims to raise awareness about the importance of good nutrition for Filipinos, particularly for women office workers and expectant mothers. DOHA 27 July 2024 — The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in the State of Qatar, represented by First Secretary and Consul General Cassandra B. Sawadjaan, graced the chartering, dubbing, and elevation of the Board of Trustees of the Knights of Rizal-Qatar Chapter on 26 July 2024.
In her remarks, Consul General Sawadjaan highlighted the values that national José Rizal lived by and died for — love for one’s country and the fervent devotion to freedom.
“The same conditions that prompted Rizal to be an agent for change in the 19th century still exist, sadly, in the 21st century,” she said. “And so in the complex and confusing times we live in, we hark back to Rizal’s clarity of vision, his ideals for self-determination, his pride for the Filipino race, and his indomitable spirit to rise above the challenges thrown his way.”
The chartering of KOR-Qatar Chapter followed the chartering of the KOR-Doha Chapter on 13 July 2024.
