DOHA 25 January 2024 — In support of the burgeoning Filipino food scene in Doha, officials from the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in the State of Qatar, led by Her Excellency Ambassador Lillibeth V. Pono, graced the opening of Filipino restaurant Maharlika Cuisine on 19 January 2024.

Ambassador Pono enjoined Filipinos to take pride in their culinary traditions as a testament to their shared history and as part of the broader efforts to ensure the transmission of the Philippines’ food practices and treasures to new audiences and future generations alike.
