DOHA 08 November 2023 — Following the safe and successful departure of 40 Filipino nationals and one Palestinian spouse from the Gaza Strip through the Rafah border crossing in Egypt, Philippine Secretary for Foreign Affairs Enrique A. Manalo wrote on X:

“We acknowledge and deeply appreciate Qatar's crucial mediation efforts in the opening of the Rafah border crossing, allowing foreign nationals, including Filipinos, to exit Gaza.
