DOHA 04 March 2019 —The Philippine Embassy in Qatar launched its year-long campaign on health and wellness through a lecture entitled “Women’s Health and Feminine Hygiene” for distressed overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) at the Overseas Filipino Workers Resource Center on 22 February 2019.

In his welcome remarks, Consul General Roussel R. Reyes explained the important role of women and young girls in the society. He also emphasized that women in the pink of health are basically the cornerstone of a successful society.

The lecture was designed to raise awareness on women’s health, instill self-love, and correct wrong beliefs and practices on personal hygiene among OFWs. The lecture was conducted by Dr. Veronica Cristina Brillantes-Macaraig, a Qatar-based Filipino doctor and an active partner of the Embassy in carrying out its mandate to uplift the quality of the lives of Filipinos in Qatar.
