DOHA 04 March 2019 — The Philippine Embassy in Doha participated in Qatar’s Cancer Awareness Day campaign, organized by Qatar Cancer Society, at Baladna Park on 22 February 2019.
“Together, cancer can be fought through educating and empowering, while also supporting individuals living with cancer in addition to engagements in professional development and scientific research in the field of cancer,” Ambassador to Qatar Alan L. Timbanyan said.
The Embassy took this opportunity to promote Philippine tourism, and introduce Filipino alternative medicine and its modalities as a mode of relief for basic ailments.
It has partnered with the Qatari goverment through the Qatar Cancer Society in its vision to take the lead in cancer prevention and control. END
