31 January 2017 DOHA – The Philippine Business Council Qatar (PBCQ) was relaunched at the Marriott Marquis Hotel, Doha on January 24 alongside the introduction of its officers and members.
The ceremony took place following a series of visits to Qatar this month by Philippine business delegations from the health and transport sectors for prospective investments in Filipino polyclinics and hospital in Qatar and a cable car transport system in Cebu City.
Atty. Manases Carpio, head of the Philippine delegation from the transport sector; Medical Mission Group Hospital and Health Services Cooperative (MMGHSC) CEO Dr. Jose T. Tiongo; Cebu Airway Ropeway System (CARS) representatives; foreign business council representatives; and PBCQ officers and members attended the launch.
The Philippine Business Council LLC(G), a non-profit, non-stock Filipino business group for businessmen, investors, entrepreneurs and professionals who share an interest in local business opportunities and developing expertise in business trade in the Philippines and Qatar, is licensed by the Qatar Financial Centre Authority. PBCQ was initially launched in Qatar in 2014.
