Doha, 02 September – Philippine Ambassador to the State of Qatar Wilfredo C. Santos recently hosted a breakfast meeting with the members of the Alliance of Filipino Journalists in Qatar (AFJQ) at his residence in West Bay Lagoon, Doha.

The meeting is part of the efforts of the Philippine Embassy, under the leadership of Ambassador Santos, to reach out to all sectors of the Filipino community. Ambassador Santos personally thanked the AFJQ members for their support to the Embassy and to the Filipino community. “The media exerts a lot of influence in public affairs. The Filipino journalists in AFJQ are our partners in advancing the interests of the Philippines in this part of the world,” he said.

“I therefore welcome this collaboration with the AFJQ, which has allowed the Philippine Embassy to disseminate relevant information to our kababayans in the State of Qatar,” Ambassador Santos added.
