DOHA 02 June 2025 — Officials from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) paid a courtesy call on Philippine Ambassador to the State of Qatar, His Excellency Mardomel Celo D. Melicor, at the Embassy Chancery on 02 June 2025.

The PRC officials are in Doha ahead of the conduct of the Special Professional Licensure Examinations (SPLE) for overseas Filipinos on 06-08 June 2025.

Discussed during the call were the administrative and logistical preparations for the SPLE, including contingency measures to ensure the safety of the examinees and integrity of the examinations.

This year’s SPLE in Doha covers 21 professional licensure board examinations across various disciplines. Around 450 Filipinos residing and/or working in Qatar are expected to take the examinations.

Pursuant to Executive Order No. 835, series of 2009, the SPLE is held annually to give unlicensed OFWs the opportunity to take the licensure board examinations while residing and/or working in the Gulf region without the need of returning to the Philippines.
