29 May 2025 — The Gilas Pilipinas women’s and men’s 3x3 teams copped huge wins on Day 1 of the FIBA 3x3 Youth Nations League Asia-Pacific 1 (Stop 1) at the Qatar Basketball Federation (QBF) Hall in Al Gharafa on 28 May 2025.

In the women’s division, Gilas players notched consecutive victories against squads from New Zealand, Qatar, and Chinese Taipei to emerge as the day’s champion.

Meanwhile, in the men’s division, Gilas Pilipinas made up for their tight loss against New Zealand by earning a solid win against Indonesia to secure 3rd place.

Philippine Ambassador to the State of Qatar, His Excellency Mardomel Celo D. Melicor, led Embassy officials in witnessing the matches and personally congratulating the Filipino players, including the coaching staff.

The League resumes today, 29 May 2025, and will last until 03 June 2025.
