DOHA 06 April 2025 — The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in the State of Qatar joins in the global commemoration of the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace.

This year’s theme, “Leveling the Playing Field: Sport for Social Inclusion,” aims to challenge stereotypes, promote equal opportunities, and enable inclusive sport for all, regardless of age, gender, or race.

Inclusivity in sports is an integral component of the Philippines’ short-term development agenda.

As part of the Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028, the Philippine Sports Commission undertakes to institutionalize a strong national grassroots program focused on community-driven sports and recreational activities, fulfilling its mandate to emphasize grassroots involvement in national sports.
