DOHA 13 May 2025 — The Special Board of Canvassers (SBOC) of the Doha Overseas Voting Precinct successfully transmitted the results of the #Halalan2025 overseas voting to the National Board of Canvassers in Manila on 12 May 2025.

A total of 10,418 Filipino voters in the peninsula took part in the inaugural overseas online voting, representing 32.64 percent of the 31,922 registered voters in Qatar.

The canvassing of votes was preceded by a 30-day voting period, which commenced on 13 April 2025 and concluded on 12 May 2025 at 2:00 p.m. (Qatar time).

Philippine Ambassador to the State of Qatar, and Chair of the Doha OV Precinct SBOC, His Excellency Mardomel Celo D. Melicor, said the conduct of the historic overseas online voting was generally peaceful and orderly.

“The successful conduct of the first online voting for registered and enrolled Filipino voters in Qatar is a triumph for democracy,” he said. “In casting their votes, our kababayans affirmed the ballot's role in ensuring their voices are heard.”
